Hey everyone, just letting you know about the great show we have planned very soon. THS @ Elonzo will take over the legendary Visulite Theatre in Charlotte, and we need as much support as we can get. We’re really excited to play with Elonzo again, and they’re really, really amazing if you don’t know already. We need all of our Rock Hill, Charlotte and everywhere-else-friends to come out, so please try!
Here’s “China Bed” from the cool show at The Gettys Center. We rearranged our songs, played different instruments and had Jason Poore sitting in on banjo, violin and extra guitar. It was one of the most fun performances we’ve done, and we’re excited to have the video! Chris Gervais shot and edited the film, and Paul Jensen at Sound Choice Studios mixed the audio.

Hey all, sorry it’s been awhile since the last post. We’ve been pretty busy, actually…
Album update:
We’ve got 9 songs about ready for the new album, and we’ve got several more planned. Hopefully we’ll get some new tracks posted soon!
Live update:
We’ve got some cool shows coming up, so we hope to see familar faces at some (or all) of them. In March we’ll be at Luke’s in Rock Hill, Smokey Joe’s in Charlotte (love that place!) and we’re part of the HUGE St. Pat’s celebration at Five Points in Columbia. We’re playing alongside people such as Jet, Robert Earl Keen and a ton of awesome regional bands. In April we’ll be at The Money, and in May we’ll head down to Savannah. Check out the live dates page for more details.
Other stuff:
We recently performed for “Live At The Jam Room” at the world-famous Columbia studio of the same name. It was done specifically for Time Warner Cable On Demand, and you’ll also soon find it on YouTube, Facebook, etc. We’ll be sure to let you know when it’s posted.
We’re also in the process of uploading video from that way cool show we did at The Gettys Center about a year ago. It’s the one where we rearranged our songs, switched instruments and added
Jason Poore on various instruments. It
was shot in HD, so it’ll look great. We’ll let you know when it’s all up.
That’s all for now, but check back for updates. Don’t forget to join the email list (top of the home page), and become a fan on facebook.
Hey everybody, just wanted to let you know where we are with the new album…
We’re in the middle of recording somewhere around 20 songs. Maybe they’ll all make it? Double album? Don’t know at this point, as it’s still pretty freaking early. All we do know is that we won’t stop until the album is great, and our standards are pretty high. It’ll likely be a good bit of time before we’re done, by design, but we’ll keep updating and hopefully every now and then “leak” a song or two.
Last session we tracked “Sheldon”, “Levee”, “Matters” and two newer ones – “All The Time” and the long-awaited “The Life And Times Of Vlad Mortimer (Sortimer) – Pt. II”. Next up are probably things like “China Bed”, “The Envelope”, “For A Reason”…and some new things you’ve never heard. All I can tell you is it’s going to sound a lot different than the last album. And that’s not the usual rock band B.S.
This time around we’ve got pianos, crazy amounts of weird guitars and all sorts of percussion lying around. Not to mention a ridiculously awesome mic collection at our disposal. We’ve got an extremely wise, cool and open-minded engineer, the (very patient) Paul Jensen at Sound Choice Studios. It can’t be stresses enough what a great thing it is to collaborate with a dude like that.
So just keep checking the website, and don’t forget to sign up for updates!!! If you haven’t yet, visit us on Facebook – don’t forget to bring your friends!
Hey everybody! We’re in the middle of redesigning things, as you can tell. We’re about to hit the studio to record our second album, so we figured we’d get a little synergistic with it. Check back for updates, and don’t forget to join the mailing list one post below!!
